Breath-taking kiteboarders jump up to 15 metres high and cover distances up to 50 meters in winds of 50 knots at the Red Bull Megaloop in Zandvoort, Netherlands. But in 2017 and 2019, NOMOBO's live broadcast carried the event to even greater heights.
This unique competition relies on extreme Dutch weather. So for a seven-month period between April and November, NOMOBO and the event organizers are on constant standby. And if the big winds don't arrive, the show is canceled – just like it was in 2018.
But in June 2019, the conditions were perfect. An initial forecast arrived on Monday. By Wednesday, the event had been confirmed. And on Saturday, more than 10,000 spectators flocked to the beaches.
With only two days' notice, NOMOBO's team produced a stunning live broadcast as 16 of the world's most talented kiters let rip on the Dutch coast.
