Three simultaneous streams, more than 10,000 user profiles and 63,000 hours of content consumed: Hashiconf US might have been forced online in 2020, but thanks to NOMOBO and our streaming platform Dexper, it still proved a huge success.
Across three days in October, a remote crew of 40 people - split evenly between working on Dexper and editing and directing the live broadcast - took HashiCorp’s annual conference to new heights.
But the work had started long before the actual event. Weeks in advance of the conference, NOMOBO shipped 30 smartphone production kits to speakers all over the world. Once they arrived, all each user had to do was turn on the smartphone and lights. Our remote team could adjust everything necessary before giving the all-clear for the speaker to film their content.
In total, 27 hours of recorded content was gathered from speakers and MCs in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. And there was no doubting the event’s global reach. Attendees from 100 countries spread across six continents took part in this remarkable conference.
To keep viewers engaged, live hosts and Q&As were interwoven with the prerecorded clips. Attendees could choose between the main track (for the main event and big keynotes) and a breakout track (for different speaker sessions, music and entertainment). An exclusive partner track was also offered on the day before the show, while an executive track featuring sessions with founders and CEOs was available on the first day of the main show.
HashiCorp was delighted with the event’s success. And with more than six hours’ average viewing time for each attendee, it’s clear Hashiconf US was a major hit!
