Madison Square Garden has been the home of world champions and showbiz superstars for more than 50 years.
And when American DJ duo Jack Ü carried New York into 2015 with a unique New Year's Eve performance, it was NOMOBO that was trusted to capture and broadcast every minute live around the world.
Jack Ü aimed to produce an "intimate and personal" show built on a "carnival atmosphere". Expressing that vibe was key, so only the best support in filming, editing and production was appropriate.
In partnership with Live Nation, Jack Ü (Skrillex and Diplo) commissioned NOMOBO to produce a three-hour, HD live stream that was distributed globally via Yahoo. Having already worked with both Skrillex at his Red Rocks Amphitheatre show in 2014 and Jack Ü at Ultra Music Festival, we were a proven partner.
The New Year's Eve show was also our second event at Madison Square Garden, following Above & Beyond's ABGT100 show, meaning our crew was familiar with the arena before we began. Our live stream reached a global audience and generated a string of positive comments:
• "Never seen such a great camera job LIVE!"
• "This camera guy needs a medal!"
• "Why isn't this on TV?!"
Just two months later, we worked again with Jack Ü at the 24 Hours of Jack Ü event – proving NOMOBO is no one-hit wonder.
