"Dreams cannot be cancelled."

That was the rallying call as PAROOKAVILLE 2020 blasted back into life for NOMOBO's first on-site festival since the coronavirus pandemic with a special Mini Edition event.

Our two-day livestream from Weeze, Germany, attracted more than 1.3 million viewers across Facebook and YouTube, where the average view time was 27 minutes.

Those viewers were treated to a five-hour show on Friday 17 July, kicking off with the traditional Penny Pre Party followed by four DJ sets and closed out by German star Felix Jaehn. It was also many of the DJs' first live event since Covid-19, with 200 lottery winners, picked out of 400,000 applicants, making up the audience and celebrating a first step to normality.

The next day, things got even more intense, with a seven-hour LIVE show hosted by 1LIVE's Claudi On Air and German entertainer 'Evil' Jared Hasselhoff.

Operating from our MCR in Amsterdam, NOMOBO's editors and producers assembled a stunning package for Saturday's livestream.

First, a 75-minute pre-show included the best moments from previous PAROOKAVILLE events.

Zoom interviews with Nervo, Showtek and Steve Aoki followed as the day progressed, interspersed between live sets from Lari Luke, Alle Farben, Fedde Le Grand, W&W and Brennan Heart, as well as a cooking show with YouTube sensation Sturmwaffel. There was even a real wedding – congratulations to the Warsteiners!
