Workday Rising is Workday’s largest customer event of the year. In 2024, this four-day gathering in Las Vegas brought together more than 500 speakers, 400 sessions, and 150 exhibitors.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama delivered a keynote, while Gwen Stefani headlined a customer appreciation concert.

NOMOBO was tasked with using strategic and cinematic online video production to turn a global audience into forever fans.

A Top-Notch Set-Up, Streaming, and Content Strategy

NOMOBO’s crew arrived on site five days before the conference began. That early set-up, which included rigging, lighting, camera, and tech installation, also facilitated full dress rehearsals with on-screen talent and several key pre-records.

From there, we were well positioned to deliver on a series of commitments. Our full schedule included:

  • Rigging four studio cams and one Sony ILME-FR7 Eye in the Sky for the on-site Broadcast Studio
  • Installing six cameras for keynote presentations, including a Steadicam, a JitaCam, and three PTZ cameras
  • Setting up and staffing both on-site and Amsterdam-based MCRs for expert direction and transmission
  • Building two roving teams with EVS review, LiveU transmission equipment, and dedicated after-movie and B-roll operators

Over four days, our live broadcast consistently switched between studio, keynotes, and roving teams. To increase accessibility and inclusivity, all recordings and broadcasts were enhanced with ASL and Closed Captioning.

The digital side of Rising allows us to bring our message to a virtually limitless audience. It’s been a really powerful tool for us to broaden the tent and bring more people in.

One Epic Event, One Prolific Publishing Schedule

In just one week, NOMOBO produced 450+ pieces of top-notch content, delighting both Workday and its huge online audience.

In total, more than 50 cameras and 20 editors were used to keep the content flowing.

Simultaneously providing cinematic live broadcasts and fast-turn edits, including producing snippets and publishing on social media while the keynotes were still on, meant the online buzz only grew as the event progressed.
